Tom’s Spec Boxster: Another Year of Refinement
Tom’s Spec Boxster came back in for its annual round of refinement, this time focusing on weight reduction, simplicity, driver comfort, and better data. The Accusump system was removed in favor of a higher-capacity sump, the non-functioning transmission cooler was completely redesigned, and a custom-mounted Coolshirt system was added. I also installed multi-channel tire temperature sensors on all four corners along with a new shifter and cables to improve both setup feedback and driver confidence.

Tom’s Porsche 986 Spec Boxster
Tom’s 986 Spec Boxster came in for a handful of repairs and upgrades, but quickly turned into a much deeper cleanup of the car. The build focused on fixing years of questionable wiring, cleaning up the electronics and cockpit, improving the AIM dash setup, adding useful data, reducing unnecessary weight, and making the car easier to drive and maintain. Since getting it back on track, Tom has already put it on the podium several times.
